Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Coding: Use and impact of Z-Codes
Featuring Mason Roberts from Milliman
It is well-established that social factors - like access to food, transportation, and housing - impact people's health. ICD-10 Z Codes were created to track social factors, but their use and utility are questionable. Milliman has discovered that a significant amount of information can be gleaned from non-healthcare-specific data sources. Their analytics have revealed some fascinating, and occasionally unexpected, relationships between consumer data and social risk factors. Such findings can help guide the implementation of ICD 10 Z Codes across treatment approaches for a variety of conditions.
Join us for a session with Mason Roberts of Milliman as we look at research and updated data on the subject, and envision the path ahead.
