Janice Sparks, PhD

Janice loves to dig deep into issues and identify solutions to complex healthcare problems and challenges. Her background is in aging services and public health, looking across the lifespan to address complicated social and healthcare needs. Since starting with Spring Street, her focus has been working with health plans to address social drivers of health to advance innovation, programming, and services.
Prior to joining SSX, Janice has developed and led many initiatives in the public health sector. Her work has included projects pertaining to disability issues, hospital care transitions, 1115 waivers, and programs for veterans, including a Veteran Directed Care Program. She has worked with large health plans to implement services to address social needs.
Janice has a Doctorate degree in Gerontology from the University of Kentucky and a Biology degree from Texas Woman’s University. Janice lives with her family in Texas.
