A Ten Year Timeline

As I reflect on ten years of leading Spring Street Exchange and working alongside many of you, I am struck by how much the environment around us has changed, and how much of that has only become clear in hindsight. What started as a simple exercise to understand our organization’s journey has turned into a useful way to look back at a decade of intense transformation in our industry.  

Looking across these years, an increasing scale and pace of change have marked the past decade. We have been through tremendous shifts in the policy landscape, economic position, and technological capability. And yet we have remained relatively steady in other trends such as moving toward consumer- and value-based care.  

I also see that some of the jolting changes that began in the pandemic are still unfolding. In some cases, they are accelerating due to advancing technology. Many of us are continuing to drive this transformation now.  

At Spring Street, we have worked alongside our clients through each of these moments, supporting leaders as they made decisions in environments with limited precedent and increasing uncertainty. In many cases, this meant helping teams think ahead of emerging shifts and consider how to prepare for a range of possible futures. 

Looking ahead, the pace of change is unlikely to slow down. Our ability to navigate uncertainty and engage in meaningful collaboration will remain essential for keeping focus on mission and sustainability in the years ahead.
